The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit word 'yug' meaning union. It signifies both the path
to discovery of the soul and the union with it. A spiritual and physical
art, yoga unites the mind, body and soul in its aim to reach a perfect
state in which the mind is clear, the soul turns inward and the body
is pure and strong.
On the physical level, yoga gives relief from countless ailments of the body and is an excellent form of cross-training, building flexibility, balance and strength, and body awareness than can help with reaction time and agility. For the mind and spirit, yoga can help improve focus, concentration, confidence and your ability to handle stressful, challenging situations with calm and presence of mind. Many find that it can also steady the emotions and encourage compassion and kindness.

Meditating Yogis is a relaxation and re-centering class. It includes a soothing yoga practice, balancing breathing techniques, and a
tranquil interlude of meditation. This class is a perfect
closing to your day, allowing you to release and surrender
the stress and challenges
of everyday tasks. Moreover, this class provides you
with essential tools to creating and maintaining a
space of peace and strength throughout
each day in regards to every aspect of your life.
Prenatal Yoga is a dynamic class that weaves together yoga and childbirth preparation. It opens the door for women to reclaim their physical, mental, and emotional power and receptivity during the birth process. This class also offers a place of refuge where women learn to connect with their changing bodies, their babies, and each other.
Children's Yoga is the new "in" way to have fun for kids. This creative class integrates stories, games, and imagination to teach children yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. This in turn, helps them improve concentration, relieve anxiety, create balance, enhance coordination, and strive for self-improvement. As a result, children build a strong foundation within themselves so that they can easily achieve success in other areas of life such as school, home, relationships, etc.
Partner Yoga brings couples together to connect on not only a physical level, but also an emotional, mental, and spiritual level. The yoga postures in this class promote teamwork, build better communication, and strengthen the bond within the relationship. Individually, it enhances wellness, celebrates your talents, and works through your boundaries. Most of all, it is a fun and challenging work out!
Laurel teaches the following specialized yoga classes weekly and/or periodically at Ananda Center for Yoga & Massage located in Winter Garden, Florida (FL).
She is also excited to teach private yoga sessions as well.
The compensation for presenting this program is negotiable in which payment can be calculated on a per student basis, per class basis, or as a salaried position.
